WCCT to read ‘Adorabelle and the Silly Seven’ Sunday
Webster City Community Theatre Readers’ Theatre will be reading “Adorabelle and the Silly Seven” by Murray J. Rivette this Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at the Theatre Building at 1001 Willson Avenue.
“In this wacky adaption of ‘Snow White’, a villainously vain Queen tries to kill her lovely stepdaughter, Adorabelle, with a poisonous hair scrunchie. But when the Silly Seven foil the evil plot, the Queen disguises herself as a Sacko Belle food vendor and convinces Adorabelle that she must try the new Sacko Bell Chalupa – the new poisoned chalupa, that is! But luckily for Adorabelle, Prince Ethelbert Von Heimlich III, a stand-up comedian on his way to do a gig
at Cinderella’s palace, takes a wrong turn.”
“Adorabelle and the Silly Seven” will be the April production at the Webster City Community Theatre. Al Yungclas will be directing the production assisted by Amanda Wagner, as well as directing the Reader’s Theatre.
Reader’s Theatre is a chance for those who want to become familiar with the play. Auditions will be held March 3 and 4. The age range for the cast will be fifth grade through High School, but everyone is welcome to come to Reader’s Theatre.
Bring a snack to share and a beverage for yourself and be ready to have a fun time.
