NEH boys say goodbye to 6-game slide
LATIMER – CAL came up on the schedule at the exact right time for the Northeast Hamilton boys’ basketball team.
The Trojans needed a night to redeem their confidence.
With Noah Ronnfeldt and Logan Seiser combining for 40 points, Northeast Hamilton (5-8, 4-7 ISC) ended a six-game slide with a 59-23 romp past the Cadets (0-13, 0-12 ISC) in Iowa Star Conference action last night.
Ronnfeldt blistered the Cadets for 22 points, and Seiser was a monster at both ends, as he finished with 18 points and 21 rebounds.
“This came at a good time for us and we executed much better than we have been,” NEH head coach John Seiser said. “The kids did a good job. They stuck with what we wanted to do.”
Stephen Chamness gave the Trojans a third double-digit scorer; he finished with 10 points.
NEH jumped out to a 12-1 lead after one quarter, and CAL never threatened again.
Juan Carlos Calles had eight points for the Cadets. Andrew Quinones and Ben Fahrmann both chipped in seven.
