A breath of spring

The American Cancer Society Daffodil Days orders are now being taken and the fresh daffodils will arrive in Hamilton County from March 11 to 15, according to ACS officials. The deadline to place an order is Feb. 18.

A variety of Daffodil Days items are available. For a minimum $10 donation to the American Cancer Society, donors will receive bunch of approximately 10 ready-to-open daffodils. Other items include a Bunch and a Vase; Dainty Daffodils; Gift of Hope program; Bear and a Bunch; Bear Hugs for Hope program; Sunshine Bouquet; Half case of daffodils (25 bunches); and Case of daffodils (50 bunches). The donation levels for those items range from $15 to $500.

ACS officials said this year will features the addition of Ray O’ Hope, a special Boyds Bear designed exclusively for American Cancer Society Daffodil Days Bear and a Bunch that can be ordered for a donation of $25. Each bear comes with one bunch of unopened daffodils. Dainty Daffodils features replantable miniature daffodil bulbs in a container. Available for only a $15 donation, these daffodils can be enjoyed both now and later when planted in the garden.
