Bill Muck, 82, Webster City
William “Bill” Nathan Muck died March 20, 2013 at the age of 82 at Southfield Wellness Facility. A memorial service will be held April 6, 2013 at 10:00am at the United Church of Christ Congregational in Blairsburg.
Bill was born July 1, 1930 to Nathan and Merriam Muck of Downs, Kansas and was the oldest of ten children. He served his country in the U.S. Army and married Mary on April 1, 1962 in Inavale, NE. Bill worked as a heavy equipment mechanic in the early part of his married life and later ranched and managed a hunting and fishing resort in Sandhills, NE. Later Bill and Mary moved to Blairsburg in the winter of 2001 where he worked at Briggs Woods until his retirement.
Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary and his three sons, Jackie (Denise) of Waterloo, Jim (Loretta) of Webster City and Mike (Doreen) of Wahoo, NE; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters, two half-sisters and a half-brother, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill also had one adopted family, Scott and Cathy Oswalt and four children of Webster City. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
