Jewell shops to hold ribbon cutting event
JEWELL – A ribbon cutting event is being planned by JADE and Hamilton County SEED at several Jewell businesses on Saturday.
The first ribbon cutting will be held at 10 a.m. during the Grand Opening celebration at Jimmy’s Antiques & Gifts. This new business is located at 720 Main Street; enter through the Jewell Farm & Home. The day’s activities include wine tasting and product sampling.
A second ribbon cutting will be held at Sew Bee It Quilt Shop at 621 Main St. Owner Mischelle Hardy moved to this new location early this year.
The final ribbon cutting will be held at Fray’s. This collectible shop, owned by Ray Baldus, is located at the corner of Main Street and Highway 175. The normal business hours are Monday-Friday, but on Saturday, Baldus is making an exception so that Jewell area residents can get a taste of what his business has to offer. The public is encouraged to attend the ribbon cuttings.
