Stanhope Library to offer summer reading programs

The summer reading program at the Stanhope Public Library will be offering a unique way to discover new authors and topics. Throughout the summer, registered readers who check out a special wrapped book won’t know the title or author of their book. Age appropriate stickers will be displayed on the wrapped books.

Inside the pocket of each book is a gnome card and a review card. Review the book and place your review in a weekly drawing. If your review is drawn it will be posted on facebook and a prize will be awarded. The gnome card displays a gnome, a prize, and a continent. Figure out which continent the gnome is visiting and win the prize on the card. The reader will also receive a passport.

The reader will be rewarded with a new book of their choice after six of the continents visited by the gnomes has been stamped. Beginning June 18, unwrap one book a week and discover what could be your all time favorite book. Summer reading program ends August 10, allowing two extra weeks to complete your passport.
