Little library in place at plaza

The first Little Free Library for Webster City has sprouted up at the Farmers Market corner.

Given in memory Ilo P. Frakes, who was a Noon Kiwanis Club member for 19 years, of which he served 17 years as club treasurer. The Library is registered as No. 6279 with the Little Free Library non-profit organization which promotes reading around the world. Citizens can take a book, leave a book… now or later. Any hardcover, softcover, adult or children’s book is welcome. No campaign literature or inappropriate material is allowed. Club officials said no one can “steal” a book because every book donated is free.

Each registered library has a “steward” and if there are any questions or if someone observes problems with the library, call the Kiwanis Steward Darlene Dingman at 832-1619.
