Six Trojans rip hits in easy win over CWL
BLAIRSBURG – Bryce VanLangen got into the offensive act to help Northeast Hamilton trump Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne in a non-conference baseball game here yesterday afternoon.
VanLangen punctured a pair of hits, including a fifth-inning double that drove in two runs in the Trojans’ 4-0 victory.
NEH (5-8) broke up a scoreless game with a run in the fourth and tacked on an insurance run in the sixth inning.
CWL (1-6) accomplished next to nothing against right-hander Gabe Rapp, who went the distance to collect the win. He gave up just two hits, walked two and struck out nine.
Rapp also had two hits, including a double. Stephen Chamness and Tyler Smith ripped a pair of base hits as well, part of a 10-hit night for the Trojans.
Trevor Klaver and Hunter Dilley both went 1-for-4. Klaver drove in a run.
