Two arrested on meth charges
Webster City Police officers arrested two Webster City residents and charged a Blairsburg woman on Thursday on meth related charges.
Law enforecement officers executed a search warrant at 601 Woolsey Ave. The owner of the home, Craig Bernard, 36, and two other associates, Janelle Rae Haggard, 23, of Webster City and Selena Renee Warner, 30, of Blairsburg, were present in the home. According to Police Chief Brian Hughes, during the search, officers seized three suspected packets of Methamphetamine, numerous items of suspected drug paraphernalia and precursors to manufacture methamphetamine.
In addition, two suspected meth labs were located. The Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement was called to assist and safely remove these labs.
Bernard and Haggard were both arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail. Warner was not physically arrested at the home. However, the department has filed charges against her which will require a court appearance. There is an ongoing investigation in reference to the suspected meth labs and additional charges may be pending, Hughes said.
The charges filed against all three defendants are as follows:
Craig Bernard- Possession of Precursor with Intent to Manufacture “D” Felony; Gathering where Controlled Substances Unlawfully Used “D” Felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Misdemeanor
Janelle Rae Haggard – Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Misdemeanor
Selena Renee Warner – Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth) Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Misdemeanor
