Erin Anderson, the 18-year-old daughter of Tim and Kathy Anderson, Webster City, was crowned the Hamilton County Fair Queen Wednesday night during the cornonation ceremony at the fairgrounds grandstand

Anderson was one of eight young women who competed for the honor. Brittany Nicholson, 18, Ellsworth, was named first runner-up. Second runner-up was Shea VanLangen. Bridget Moriarty, Webster City, was named Miss Congeniality and Leadership.

Other members of the court were Angela DeLaRiva, the daughter of Tom and Michelle DeLaRiva, Ellsworth; Josi Dinsdale, Webster City; Molly Greenfield, Williams and Jan Ryherd, Webster City.

Afton and Whitney Holt served as the hostesses for the coronation. The escorts for the queen candidates were Stephen Chamness, Landon Johnson and Jordan Lutjen.

The Hamilton County Friend of the Fair award was presented to Mark Ferguson. Members of the fair board presented the award to Ferguson.

Kylee King, the 2012 Hamilton County Fair Queen, gave her farewell, discussing her year as fair queen.

The Dance Connection provided entertainment at the coronation.

The judges for the fair queen contest were Casey Kahl of Story City; Kelsey Reiter, Hudson and James Romer, Ames.

Kathleen Hay, Carla Johnson and Kim Schaa served on the queen contest committee.
