Wine and nine set for Friday

Join the fun on Friday from noon to 4 p.m. with the Webster City Area Chamber. The Chamber is hosting their Chamber Golf Open, Wine on Nine, at Briggs Woods Golf Course. The day starts at noon with training by golf instructor John Cornish at the practice green. At 1 p.m., the rules will be reviewed and there will be a Cherry Picker Ball Drop. Participants can buy a golf ball for $2, 3 for $5 or 6 for $10 that is numbered. The closest ball to the target will win a big prize. Golfers will encounter games, giveaways and refreshments along the course. Dinner will be served. There will also be a live music during dinner and prizes.

The cost is $30 per person, two person teams, shotgun start and two teams at a time will go out. It is open to Chamber members and the public. Longest putt, Hole in One, longest drive with non-dominant hand, and hit the portapottie are just a few of the games being played.
