Stratford council holds special hiring meeting
The Stratford city council kicked off the month of August with a special meeting on August 1 in order to act on hiring a new maintenance and project manager assistant.
Maintenance superintendent Larry Runyon retired earlier this summer after 25 years in the position.
After reviewing the process of the hiring committee, the council approved their recommendation and approved hiring Tanner Jensen pending a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Also approved was a wage of $13 per hour.
The personnel issue was the only item on the agenda for the meeting, and the council adjourned at the close of the 30-minute session.
