The annual in-state rivalry between Iowa State University and the University of Iowa takes to the field this weekend. Fans of both teams are gearing up for tailgate parties and donning their jerseys as they get ready to cheer on the two teams.
For fans in Webster City, the celebration actually begins today as WHO’s RVTV comes to the community. Webster City was one of five towns selected as stops for RVTV. The Chamber of Commerce, area businesses and volunteers have been busy planning food, games and activities. Second Street will be blocked off starting at noon and tailgating begins at 2 p.m. Local residents are invited to join in the fun. Throughout the afternoon and evening, the RVTV sportscasters will broadcast live from our community.
Tonight’s events mark another great summer celebration for Webster City. Thanks to our enthusiastic Chamber director and volunteers, the RVTV festivities promise to be just as successful as the Summer Nights programs. This celebration also marks another opportunity to show the rest of the state all the great things Webster City has to offer. So cheer on your favorite team today and don’t forget show your support for Webster City.
