WC gears up for homecoming

It’s Spirit Week in Webster City as the school district and students get ready for 2013 homecoming.

All week long, the high school and middle school students have been celebrating with special dress-up days. Tuesday was pajama day at the high school and Wednesday was Twin Day. Middle school students donned their best nerd costumes, complete with suspenders, horn-rimmed glasses and highwater pants.

Thursday will bring Decade Day and Friday is Purple and Gold day.

Boom Night is scheduled for Thursday night at the Prem Sahai Auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. Kevin Kennedy and Matt Tharp wil be inducted into the Hall of Fame and the new homecoming king and queen will be announced.

Friday classes will be dismissed early for the annual parade, which starts at 2:30 p.m. The homecoming game begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday as the Webster City Lynx face Iowa Falls-Alden on the football field.
