Trojets fall in 3 sets to Dunkerton

DUNKERTON – Dunkerton received seven service aces from Bailey Epling during a 9-0 spurt to start the second set and the Red Raiders had little trouble in a 3-0 victory over Northeast Hamilton last night.

Scores were 25-14, 25-10, 25-9.

“Dunkerton (5-12, 3-2 ISC) is a 180 from last year, a very solid team,” NEH head coach Kacey Pruismann said. “We just need to clean it up big time before (facing) Tripoli (on Thursday).”

NEH (6-17, 3-3 ISC) collected just 11 kills in the match; Kaylee Massman, Andi Anderson and Lillian Chamness all had three.

“We played really hard in the first set, we just couldn’t finish the volleys,” Pruismann said.

Libero Jaidyn Timm led the defense with 17 digs. Anderson collected 14.
