September was busy in WC

September came to us with RV TV and Webster City responded with a resounding “You Betcha!” There were more than 2,200 people that came downtown Sept. 11 and just had a plain, old fashioned good time. Andy Fales sent us a letter and in part it said “This was the best, biggest and busiest stop we’ve ever had.” It would not have happened without the people of Webster City.

New members in September were Embroidery by Design/DTG Prints by Denny, All Cultures Equal, Hair Mechanix, Ramco Innovations, and Ribbens Ag Service. Welcome aboard! Our quarterly coffee was held at Webster City RV and all the seats were full. It’s a quick hour in the morning and members have a great time hearing about all the business activity occurring in town. September saw a wine tasting at Windsor Manor, McMurray Coffee sampling at Mornin’ Glory, grand opening and ribbon cutting at new business El Paisita Mexican Family Restaurant #2, and How to Wow LinkedIn seminar.

Ladies Night Out is Oct.17 and we encourage you to shop, eat and play around town. You can find all the participating stores at Oct. 31 is Halloween and we will join in the fun downtown, there will be trick or treating from 4 to 5 pm at the stores with orange signs in them.

The Chamber is more than just events. We’ve partnered with Iowa State University and are working on a Downtown Design Project. They are sending 23 students to town on October 8 to work with local businesses to redesign their store fronts. There are 20 businesses that are participating. October also brings How to Wow Quickbooks class on the 19th open to everyone.

We are looking forward to Wacky Wednesday, Small Business Saturday and Winter Wonderland. Please feel free to email me at or call us at 832-2564 if you need any more information or just want to chat.
