The Webster City Police Department has been investigating a series of burglaries that have occurred during the past several months. According to Chief Brian Hughes, these burglaries have only involved vacant commercial and residential properties and the perpetrators are stealing copper pipes and wiring from the home. The Hamilton County Crimestoppers organization is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the people responsible. The reward money was donated by the Webster City Multiple Listing Service and the city of Webster City.

Anyone with information about these crimes is encouraged to contact Crimestoppers by phone 832-8437; email (hcstopcrime.com) or texting “Crimes” to 274637 Keyword “IA40.”
