A group of Webster City High School students had a chance to learn about career options and the job market. A session was held at the Webster City Chamber of Commerce office Tuesday morning.
Amber Nichols, a special education teacher at the high school, brought three students to learn from representatives of Webster City Day Care and the Kendall Young Library. Each outlined the types of jobs available at their place of business and the duties and responsibilities at each.
Bonnie Korslund, from the library, talked about job opportunities at the Kendall Young Library and offered some suggestions about books to help with job searches.
Kirsi Johnson and Shantell Worthen talked about jobs and duties at the Webster City Day Care.
Chamber Director Deb Brown gave the students Chamber Activity Guides which listed area businesses and contact information.
