Down 2-0, Hawks rally to nip Rams in 5

JEFFERSON – Enough is enough.

That’s what the South Hamilton volleyball players said to each other after the opening two sets here last night, and the invisible line in the sand worked for the Hawks, as they rallied from a two-set deficit to take down Greene County in five sets, 23-25, 16-25, 25-16, 25-18, 15-8.

“It was great to see the fire in the girls,” South Hamilton head coach Cindy Holmes said.

Play at net was crucial in the comeback. Ady Wintermote and Alyssa Hegland both laced 12 kills, while Tiffany Jacobson added eight and Savana Stangeland finished with six.

Jacobson got her mitts on 11 blocks. Stangeland added eight and Avery Klemp chipped in six.

Libero Hannah Pulis piled up 20 digs.

South Hamilton’s setters had all-around quality performances as well. Kenzie Busch put up 15 assists, 10 digs and four service aces. Molly Minich came up with 12 assists and 10 digs.
