Fisher flirts with triple-double in SH girls’ loss to Rams

JEWELL – Kaitlin Fisher and Savana Stangeland turned in double-doubles, but Greene County went on a 22-13 third-quarter run to pull away from South Hamilton and win, 62-50, in Heart of Iowa Conference girls’ basketball last night on Coach Jim Marsh Court.

Fisher posted 16 points and 10 rebounds; her seven steals left her three shy of a rare triple-double. Stangeland finished with 13 points and 12 boards.

“We are making a lot of progress. We have to keep moving forward and not look back,” South Hamilton head coach Kathi Fisher said.

Allyson Ervin came off the South Hamilton (1-5, 1-5 HOIC) bench and buried a pair of 3-pointers en route to eight points.

Hannah Mobley (14) and Emily Christensen (10) scored in double figures for Greene County (5-2, 5-1 HOIC).

South Hamilton will be in Gilbert on Friday.
