Program on George Reeves set for Saturday

A program, “From Prairie to Pasadena: A Look into the Personal History of George Reeves” will be presented at the Kendall Young Library on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. in the lower level meeting room.

The event, free and open to the public, will be hosted by Friends of the George Reeves Memorial. This presentation is a historical and genealogical review of Reeves’ life and is part of the commemorative celebration of his 100th birthday anniversary and 55th anniversary of his death. The program will be presented by Veronica Guyader of rural Woolstock, a George Reeves historian.

Reeves, who went on to star in “The Adventures of Superman” and other television and movie projects, was born in Woolstock in 1914.
