Winners of theater raffle announced

Over 200 movie posters were sold at the Help Entertain and Restore Organization poster sale at the Webster Theater. The fundraiser brought in $1,384 for HERO’s efforts to reopen the Webster Theater. Volunteer Cindy Scheiber said the event brings the group one step closer to their goal.

“It was so much fun seeing everyone go through the posters and reminisce about seeing the movies. We’re looking forward to being able to come to the movies again.”

A raffle was also held to raise money for the project. Winners were given prizes that donors can get by giving to HERO’s online fundraiser at Indiegogo.com. The six raffle winners were Ashley Wilson, who won a movie ticket, Lindsay Kaye, who received a HERO T-shirt, Brenda Sinnett, who got a bottomless bucket of popcorn, Kyle Swon, who won two tickets to a planned opening night event for the theater, Dan Doolittle, who will get a movie pass for a year, and Jeff Brandt, who can inscribe an aluminum plaque on a theater seat.
