Lynx Hannah Myers placed on all-NCC 3rd team
WEBSTER CITY – Hannah Myers dabbled in all facets of the game of basketball this winter, which is precisely why she was noticed by the coaches in the North Central Conference.
The Webster City junior earned third-team all-NCC honors, it was announced last night. Myers was the lone Lynx player to secure one of the 21 coveted spots on the all-league teams.
Co-champions Clear Lake and Fort Dodge St. Edmond claimed four of the seven first-team slots. The Lions’ Logan Anderson and Trudy Peterson, as well as the Gaels’ Alli Huss and Anna Yung were all unanimous selections.
Jossie Sann of Clarion-Goldfield, Tangy Wiseman of Algona and Jessica Speake of Hampton-Dumont completed the first team.
Myers – a four-sport athlete – led the Lynx in rebounding (7.6 per game) and blocks (19). She ranked third on the squad in scoring (4.7), steals (33) and assists (27).
Huss (19.3), Yung (18.7), Anderson (15.2), Speake (14.7) and Wiseman (14.2) were the leading scorers in the NCC this season.
