ACE to host two spring events Friday, Saturday

All Cultures Equal board of directors, English language students and friends of ACE, will host two community events Friday and Saturday to herald the approach of spring.

They will hold the Pot ‘O Gold sale from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.?Popcorn and beverages will also be available for those who would rather snack than shop. All proceeds from the sale will go toward maintaining and improving the ACE?facilities.

Saturday, will bring an evening out with a Bring On Spring Party at the ACE?building from 7 to 11 p.m.

Admission to the party is $5 for adults and youth ages 12 and older. Admission for children under 12 is $1.?Beefburgers, hot dogs, chips and beverages will be available at an additional charge.?The party will also feature a DJ and dancing. All proceeds from this event will support the classes held at All Cultures Equal.

Organizers said the events are an opportunity for Hamilton County residents to get to know each other and to see what’s going on inside and outside of All Cultures Equal.

The board of directors, English language students and teachers came up with the events. ACE?officials said they wanted a way to bring all cultures together to celebrate spring, practice some conversational English, share life in Hamilton County and raise funds to continue classes, programs, projects and events at ACE. All Cultures Equal is a charitable non-profit organization that depends on donations, grants and rent to improve life at home, work, school and in the community.

Four new gardens are planned for ACE?this year as well as healthy living programs utilizing the large property and building spaces.
