GOLF: Gilbert’s round not enough, Lynx girls fall to Eagles

WEBSTER CITY – The Webster City girls’ golf team continued to show signs of improvement on Friday at the Webster Cit Links during its North Central Conference dual against Eagle Grove.

The Lynx still came up a few strokes short, however.

Lynx No. 1 stick Megan Gilbert was the meet runner-up with a 49. She was just one shot clear of teammates Shannon Swon and Hannah Harfst.

Brittany Carlson closed

out the scoring for WCHS with a 60.

The Lynx junior varsity squad shot a 254, led by Hayley Koeppen’s 65.
