Phyllis Rollinger, 91, Davenport

Phyllis M. Rollinger, 91, of Davenport, passed peacefully Friday, April 25, 2014 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, surrounded by her loving family. She has donated her body to the University of Iowa Medical School. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Mrs. Rollinger was born March 26, 1923 in Arien, Iowa, the daughter of Edmund and Zuehla Kloepper. She was married to her beloved husband Harley Rollinger, in MacAllen, Texas in 1944 and they shared 66 years together. She received her undergraduate degree in Education from Drake University and her Master’s degree in Counseling from Western Illinois. She taught 5th grade classes in Webster City, Iowa during her early career and then served as a high school guidance counselor at Moline High school until her retirement.

She is survived by daughters Carol Rollinger, Monroe, NY and Rebecca Ohsann, Eldridge, IA; 3 grandchildren, Sarah Schaller, El Paso, TX, Zachary Ohsann, San Francisco, CA and Elizabeth Ohsann, Eldridge, IA; and 4 great grandchildren, Chloe, Alex, Olivia and Lilly. She was preceded in death by her husband Harley, a sister Marcella Phillips, and her son-in-law Dr. Marty Ohsann. Share a memory or condolence at www.gibsonbodefh.com
