Quilt raffle tickets available now
The Hamilton County 4-H program will be raffling a queen size quilt, one square wall hanging, and octagon center table quilt and a lap sized quilt on July 27, the Sunday afternoon of the Hamilton County Fair. These items were made from over 80 quilt blocks that were completed and displayed at last year’s fair. Additional items made that may be auctioned off include a tote bag, a covered Longerburger cake basket and two pillows.
Raffle tickets are available now at the Hamilton County Extension Office, 311 Bank St., Webster City and will also be sold throughout fair week at the fairgrounds. Tickets are $1 or $5 for six tickets. Proceeds from the quilted items being raffled will benefit the Hamilton County 4-H Program and its members.
Foundation officials offered a special thanks to the Gingerbread House in Webster City for donating the fabrics for this activity that has benefited Hamilton County 4-H for 15 years. This will be the last 4-H Foundation Quilt Raffle and officials said they appreciated many hours of workmanship by the The Gingerbread House, community quilters and Bertha Shaw contributed to making the fundraiser a huge success for the Hamilton County 4-H Program.
