Nevada’s Good fans 16 in win over Hawks

The South Hamilton baseball team had no answer for the curve ball of Nevada pitcher Alex Good last night at the Mike Penning Athletic Complex in Jewell.

Good struck out 16 batters in six innings of work and earned the win, as Nevada roughed up the Hawks, 10-3.

South Hamilton (1-2, 0-1 HOIC) collected just three hits. Hunter Griffin knocked in two runs with a first-inning single; Landon Quam and Caleb Olson also had base hits.

Colton Griffin drove in the Hawks’ third run on a ground out in the fifth inning.

JD Rader went the first three innings on the hill and took the loss.
