Corbin Graesch arraignment set for June 30

A Webster City man accused of killing his father will make a plea in the case at his arraignment on June 30.

The hearing for Corbin Graesch, 27, of Webster City, was scheduled after the trial information was filed in Hamilton County District Court Thursday.

Graesch is facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of his father, Steven Graesch, 61.

The younger Graesch is accused of hitting his father multiple times with both his fists and a blunt object during what was described as a “physical altercation” in the criminal complaint.

The alleged altercation happened late during the night on June 7 into early the following morning.

Steven Graesch’s body was found early Monday morning at the home he and his son shared at 1932 Des Moines St., Webster City.

Corbin Graesch was charged with murder that same day.

An autopsy, conducted by the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny, determined Steven Graesch’s death was a homicide due to blunt force trauma.

Corbin Graesch is being held in the Hamilton County Jail on $250,000 bond.
