SH softball sees HOIC run end

MONROE – Alyssa Hegland provided all of the offense for the South Hamilton softball team here last night, but it wasn’t enough.

PCM (13-6, 11-2 HOIC) scored two runs in the first inning and never trailed en route to a 4-2 win. The game was suspended briefly for a rain delay.

South Hamilton (8-12, 7-5 HOIC) saw its five-game conference win streak snapped. Hegland had all three of the team’s hits – a double and two singles.

The Hawks scored both of their runs in the fourth inning.

South Hamilton will be home on Wednesday against Colfax-Mingo at 7 p.m.
