Ellsworth Public Library earns accreditation
ELLSWORTH – Iowa Library Services has announced that the Ellsworth Public Library has met the conditions for state accreditation as outlined in “In Service to Iowa: Public Library Standards Fifth Edition.”
Achieving accreditation required a significant, ongoing local commitment to high quality library services. Of Iowa’s 544 public libraries, 354 – including Ellsworth Public Library – are accredited.The accreditation is valid through June 30, 2017.
Interim State Librarian Barb Corson said, “The director and board of trustees of the Ellsworth Public Library and the city of Ellsworth are to be commended for this achievement and their commitment to excellence in public library services for their community.
