Last call for Summer Nights
The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the final Summers Nights event of the year on Friday.
The public is invited to join in the fun on Des Moines Street between First and Second streets from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The location has moved around the corner and will still be utilizing the First American Bank Plaza for live music by Bill Robb. Visitors are encouraged to bring their young ones down and let them play along with the singer.
Fire Chief John Conyn, from the Webster City Fire Department, will be down with a large truck and lots of fun things for kids to participate in.
Look for a big Hummer and you’ll find the U.S. Army with a great sound system and a Xbox in the back of it. The Army will also be making dog tags and have some giveaways.
Theresa Echelberger, from Future of Health Massage, will have $1 a minute massages for those stressed out parents.
TiDe Creations will have leather items for sale and Young Living Oils will help with suggestions for relaxing, de-stressing and winding down after a full day of school.
Back to School time is also time to think about winterizing your home. Neighbors Heating and Plumbing will be there to give visitors tips and tricks on how to prepare for winter and how to save some money. They will also be bringing a racecar to downtown and will be hosting a bags tournament.
It wouldn’t be Summer Nights without an array of food to choose from. All Cultures Equal will be serving food and Whoop-Ti-Doo’s is featuring their ice cream for sale. Mornin’ Glory has smoothies to partake in. Greg Pride and Nub’s BBQ is bringing out the grill and selling some good barbecue. The Chamber will be selling Webster City Custom Meats pork patties infused with cheese and Cookies Barbecue Sauce as a fundraiser to help support Summer Nights next year.
