Summer Nights is tonight
Join in the fun tonight for a big Back to School Bash in downtown Webster City. The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the last Summer Nights of the year and organizers said it looks to be a big one. The event will be held on Des Moines Street between First and Second streets between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Several groups are hosting activities at the event. Neighbors will be bringing bag toss games for kids. Building Families will be hosting many games for kids. The U.S. Army will bring a vehicle with a Xbox and dog-tag making device. Kids can see fire trucks which will be brought by the Webster City Fire Department.
Wilson Brewer Park volunteers will be on hand with a ton of historic fun. Martial arts demonstrations will be given. Kids can also get their faces painted, pick up a good read from the Bookmobile, and enjoy live music with their families.
Other groups in attendance include Legacy Learning Boone River Valley, the American Legion and Kendall Young Library.
Organizers said visitors should come hungry as a wide variety of food will be for sale. The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce will be selling meals of pork burgers, chips and a drink. Nubs barbecue, All Cultures Equal, Cloud 9 Cotton Candy, Girl Scout cookies, Rockin’ Poppin’ Kettle Corn, Whoop-Ti-Doos ice cream and Mornin’ Glory smoothies will be available.
Other items will also be for sale. Future of Health Massage will be providing massages at $1 each minute. FabUlous Glam for Divaz, Scentsy, leather items from TiDe Creations, Young Living Oils and more will also be featured.
