Vote for JewEllsworth trail grant funding
The Hamilton County Conservation Board has applied for $7,500 in funding through Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Iowa. This is part of Wellmark’s 75th anniversary celebration. Wellmark of Iowa has offered this grant opportunity for community projects such as trails. There will be 10 contest winners and Hamilton County Conservation found out that their grant application is one step closer to being funded if it can gather enough public support and votes through an online voting process.
The JewEllsworth Trail project will be online for public voting at www.Wellmark.com/75 from Aug. 20 to Sept. 7.
Public voting is one of four final factors Wellmark will use to determine the ten winners of $7,500. Only one vote per ISP address per day will be allowed. Conservations officials encourage Hamilton County residents to vote everyday.
Trail projects take time and require local match dollars for future grants to be implemented.
